Sioen show its capabilities in the non-woven industry
Traditionally, Sioen will be present at the Index fair that is held every 3 years.
The non-woven activities of the Sioen group are fast growing. Especially since the take-over of Manifattura Fontana last year and the appointment of a new CEO for the non-woven division.
Things have speeded up and the Sioen production of felt has known a lift of ever since. The product range consists of needle felt made of different types of polymers such as polyester, polypropylene, acrylic, polyimide, …depending on the application. The Sioen non-woven materials are used in geotextiles, filtration, CIPP, thermoformables for automotive and furniture, as acoustic insulation in construction and as packaging material.
Sioen has been investing in machines, equipment and in people both in its Italian as in its Belgian plants. This results in new products, new applications and new geographical markets.

- Co-needle different layers into one
- Our many post-treatments such as: calendaring, singeing and thermo fixing
