In the SeaRefinery project SIenOEN will develop the next generation of advanced seaweed cultivation substrates for the production of marine biomass. This will subsequently be converted by eco-friendly chemical and enzymatic processing technologies to extract and purify high-value seaweed components.
SeaRefinery provides a clear look beyond the state of the art in developing eco-friendly chemical and enzymatic processing technologies to extract and purify high-value seaweed compounds along the whole value chain from cultivation, biorefinery, scaling-up to product formulation.
